Star Castle Best Windows7 Application

Solar Castle 7 is a lively remix of the classic vector arcade game Star Castle. Like the original the goal is to destroy the cannon at the center of three rotating rings while being hunted by drones. The game is essentially a series of boss fights with each level getting progressively harder. Sounds easy but this was a quarterchewing monster back in the 80s arcades. This new version modernizes the classic by adding more variety while staying true to the core gameplay that made Star Castle so much fun. The number of ring segments differ between levels which creates some unique challenges especially when the rings overlap. There are also many new types of drones chasing the players ship including: * Standard similar to the orignal drones * Shooter fires back a single shot when killed * Exploder has a deadly explosion that can kill a player if too close * Splitter splits into two drones when hit similar to Asteroids * Multi requires multiple hits before being destroyed * Stealth disappears for short periods of time * ??? additional drone types on higher levels For those wanting to take a trip back in time there is a classic mode that is a very faithful remake of Star Castle. It is like being back in the arcade but without the dirty carpet and REO Speedwagon playing in the background.
